Dr Salvatore Arpaia, coordinator of the AMIGA project and Dr Antoine Messean, as deputy coordinator, have been interviewed by a journalist of Agence Europe during a press conference held in Brussels on the 24th May 2012 before the Stakeholders’ Consultation Meeting.

After a brief overview of the project, Dr Arpaia and Dr messean replied to the questions giving more detailed information about the research activities and the main objectives of the AMIGA project (“Assessing and Monitoring the Impacts of Genetically modified plants on Agro-Ecosystems”).

Dr Messean was asked to explain how AMIGA aims at identifying the most relevant instruments to compare the guidelines established by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and seeing if the indicators are reliable.
