On the 13th – 15th of May ENEA (the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) hosted the second General Assembly by its facilities in Trisaia, Matera (Italy) receiving AMIGA partners to discuss each activity and schedule the next actions.

Dr Salvatore Arpaia, project coordinator from ENEA, led the meeting where the partners had the chance to meet each other and coordinate the common activities after the last meeting held in October 2012 in Madrid at INIA’s premises.

During the first day the Management Board members met to focus on the management issues and communication policies within the project. The second and third days were dedicated to a short presentation provided by every work package leader, who gave updates to the others about developments and next steps to be taken.

The project is successfully achieving further results after the first 18 months, both in laboratory studies and field trials. Moreover, University of Wuerzburg and Thuenen Institute of Biodiversity produced two papers respectively, which have been published in October 2012 and March 2013.

At present AMIGA partners are involved in several events around Europe to present their first results from the project, taking the opportunity to share ideas with other researchers within the same scientific area.
