AMIGA project’s partner Teagasc, the Agriculture and Food Development Authority in Ireland, took part in the ESOF 2012 with a stand dedicated to raise visibility on its ongoing projects and activities, among which AMIGA.
Teagasc’s stand was present from the 11th to the 15th July in the ESOF exhibition hall to discuss with the visitors about its work and its involvement in ongoing projects linked to agricultural and food issues, including AMIGA project. AMIGA was presented at the stand and visitors had the chance to take information about the research activities and its first developments from the researchers and the informative leaflets.
On Friday 13th July, Teagasc even had the opportunity to welcome Maire Geoghegan-Quinn, the European commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science.
The EuroScience Open Forum 2012 took place in Dublin from the 11th to the 15th of July 2012, hosting over 5,000 participants from all over the world. The event aimed at presenting the latest developments in science and technology, building a constructive dialogue between the scientific community and the rest of the world, raising interest for science and technology.
Thus, AMIGA took part in the success of the ESOF2012 presenting the project to the public and its ongoing activities during this international high level event covered by worldwide medias.
